History surrounds A Miner Indulgence Bed & Breakfast...to the rear of our property is a ridge that served as an encampment for up to 12,000 Union troops stationed in Rolla during the Civil War and our frontage road is Old U.S. Hwy 66 -- "Get Your Kicks on Route 66". We draw our name and logo from the 135-year history of the Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy, now the Missouri University of Science & Technology.

A little bit of Druid Europe exists in south-central Missouri, on historic Route 66. This half-sized partial reconstruction of Stonehenge, the ancient megalith located on Salisbury Plain 75 miles Southwest of London, can be found on the northwest edge of the Missouri S & T campus (14th St. & Bishop Ave.).
